Henna minus the Mess!
sometimes...if u're in a rush and u just want the henna look for an evening....minus the mess and the smell (...yes i think it's weird..but there are some people who don't actually love the smell of fresh henna)...

...i find the most effective way of getting the henna look is drawing onto the skin using either a body art pen...or even better...use water proof eye-liner....you can use as many different colours as you like and accent the pattern with metallic liners the colour of your outfit!..it looks amazing and only takes a couple of minutes to do!....

hi!...been so busy that i've not blogged in ages....here are a few minimalistic designs i've been trying out....
the first three follow the indian/ pakistani style of pattern and the latter is my attempt at arab style henna painting....

the arab style is actually a lot harder than i originally thought it would be ...as the designs and symbols used are bigger, bolder and not as intricate..they require a lot of pre-planning for the layout of the design....

another good tip for beginners is to use henna sticker transfers as a guide, choose a nice simple pattern and copy onto the skin, use glitter henna and bindi's for sparkly party look....

i have also tried out the two-tone effect as described in one of my earlier posts..u shud definitely try it out ..the effect is pretty cool..the only down side is that the design lasts max 2/3 days before fading, especially if the layers were built up over a period of days...
